Welcome one and all to the new and improved South West Soccer Association Website, as you know having clear and open communication channels is paramount to our future success and this website demonstrates our passion to keeping our many members informed.

The SWSA currently has 15 affiliated clubs and over 750 Men and Women playing members – the affiliate members are spread across the South West Region, as far south to Margaret River across the forest laden path to Manjimup, up to the hinterland town of Collie, and finally north to the farming district of Harvey, the association caters for all clubs within this geographical area. During this 2009 season we have witnessed several key moments in our regional development with the amalgamation of the Country Women’s Soccer Association and the South West Soccer Association to form the one combined association, providing the Women’s game with a higher profile , this can be improved upon in the future with more access and commitment to providing further press coverage in 2010.  Looking at the junior talent coming through the ranks in both Men’s and Women’s games, the association is primed to move forward in the future.

The Association has also become semi professional with further administration support to last year’s Administration Manager Amanda Hawkins handing over Association duties to long time soccer administrator Debbie Farrell, the role of SWSA administrator.  This has provided an economy of scale between local associations and allowed for the further development of the Football Federation South West administration role, being capably filled by Amanda guiding the five combined associations into one representative body FFSW, the impact of this role within Football West are enormous and together we are committed to developing regional pathways for our junior development and ensuring that the Association’s and club’s concerns within our region are heard and acted on in a manner that assists and enhances our wonderful region and world game. These alliances and mutual changes will greatly enhance the code throughout the South West and with any new development – we will have some concerns moving forward – that being said having the support of the five associations in a combined voice can only add value to our region and strengthen our members ability to thrive and prosper long into the future  ………..
