FFA GFFF Workshop - Cancelled

Further to information received it has been decided to CANCEL the FFA GFFF Workshop scheduled for January 27th in Busselton.

The FFA have released the following On-Line Application Forms which serve to briefly outline your application request.  I believe it would be inefficient use of participants time to travel to Busselton to go over these very easy to use forms and therefore I have provided some guidelines and the forms required for your information and convenience.

Please note that it is a requirement of funding that clubs applying for the FFA's GFFF must complete the FFA National Facilities Audit, please click on the link to complete for your Club prior to lodging your application.

Further Important Funding Information from FFSW

FFSW strongly recommends that your grant application includes references to the following FFA initiatives :-

  1. Support of Optus Small Sides Football , including which age groups your club will be running SSF in 2010
  2. Support of open and inclusive practises ie that your club supports all ages and abilities
  3. That your club supports the MyFootballClub on-line registrations in 2010
  4. Be clear and precise about your project and how the funding will assist your club cater for football growth in your area

WORKSHOP CANCELLED - See above for On-Line Application information

All Member Clubs of the FFSW are invited to attend a workshop to facilitate the completion of the FFA’s Grassroots Funding application.   Round 2 closes 31 January 2010.

The scheme, known as the Grassroots Football Facilities Fund, provides grants of $5,000 - $20,000 for projects that improve the quality, safety, reliability and accessibility of facilities for football and other sports in local communities.

The grants will be available for two years over three funding rounds with a total funding limit of $20,000 per club and is made possible with funding support from the Federal Government.

Clubs who have used MyFootballClub (MFC) during 2009 will be given a head start, and the FFSW encourage all SW Regional clubs to take advantage of this opportunity.  Your involvement with MyFootballClub will be viewed positively within the application assessment process.

In time for the closing of Round 2 on 31 January 2010, FFSW’s Administration Manager, Amanda Hawkins and FFA’s Regional Participation Manager, Ann Gourley are planning a workshop to assist clubs in the completion of their applications and make the most of this fabulous opportunity.

Register your interest in attending asap and confirmation details will be provided as soon as they come to hand.  In the meantime read the above information on "acceptable expenditure", start collating your quotes and deciding which items you wish to purchase for your club.

Round 3 closes 31 August 2010 and a further workshop may be available if sufficient interest is achieved.
