ROLE OF THE FFSW DEVELOPMENT COACHES
Implementation Time Frame
Phase One
Visit all FFSW club coaches via Club Hubs to deliver full explanation of the strategy and implementation of what is on offer; how it is to be “specific and relevant” and how it will be delivered by the Development Coaches including opportunity for discussion and input.
Phase Two
During the 2010 Season provide Club Coaches “In-House” professional development sessions tailored for specific age groups (as determined in the Technical Development Plan). At times these will be delivered by the Technical Director or Specialist Coaches and will be delivered within the Club Hub areas.
Participate and assist with Country Week trials and player identification processes to support the coaching structure and philosophy of the program whilst preparing players and coaches for competition in Sept/Oct.
Technical Director will continue with the production of the FFA aligned Coaching Curriculum. This document will be delivered to Club Coaches by the Development Coaches who will guide them through practical coaching sessions to allow coaches to fully understand the philosophy and methodology required to use the Curriculum to its potential. It is anticipated that the FFSW Coaching Curriculum will be delivered with coaching sessions for all age groups in time for the 2011 pre-season training.
Phase Three
FFA accredited courses and HPC activities to be offered and run out of season. The out of season format will be much different and will give a greater variety and flexibility ie Beach Soccer, Football Fours, Strike Awards etc.
Phase Four
Pre-season Feb to April 2011. Lots of focus will be given to the correct use and valuable tools contained within the Coaching Curriculum, giving coaches and prospective coaches the opportunity to gain more knowledge and confidence with their coaching styles and to give them the opportunity to build their own plan for the new 2011 season.
Feb 2011 - HPC Term One to start.
FFSW PROPOSED CLUB HUB AREAS
The aim of grouping Club Hubs is to ensure that more specific and relevant educational experiences can be delivered to coaches with like objectives. Grouping of clubs allows better coverage and therefore contact hours with Development Coaches to ensure the maximum advantage and benefit can be delivered during each session. This also allows for flexibility where coaches can attend more sessions specific to their age group or other age groups as they wish.
A timetable is being prepared with the Development Coaches and will be distributed to Clubs as soon as possible. To view the announcement of regarding appointment of Development Coaches ... Click Here ...
