Coaching Sessions Now On ...
Development Coaches Gareth Johnston, Perry Krakowczyk and James Young have commenced sessions at Coaching Hubs throughout the region. Initial response has been fairly poor and the FFSW encourages all coaches to access these great sessions designed to improve the skills, management and techniques of your coaching sessions giving direct benefit to your players and coaching confidence. Sessions have been designed for more age specific sessions and provide coaches with session plans to take back and use at their next training session.
COACH EDUCATION AND CURRICULUM UPDATES IS THE FIRST STEP TO ENSURING THE POSITIVE DEVELOPMENT OF THE GAME IN THE SW REGION.

David Whalley Specialist Goalkeeper Sessions
Over 60 players and coaches turned up to what was a sensational opportunity for Goalkeepers, outfield players and coaches last week. Feedback has been great and the FFSW is now in consultation with David to provide regular visits to the SW Region to assist Goalkeepers and regional coaches in developing their players. Keep your eye out as more info will be posted shortly.
Lower South West commit to player participation
The FFSW Board recent met with representatives from summer competition Clubs of the Lower South West Soccer League. Much discussion took place in finding common ground and positive outcomes for the LSW Competition. LSWSL President and FFSW Board Member, Michael Ganatta, was pleased that Clubs where all in agreeance that the summer competition still has a strong role to play in the participation and development of players in the Lower South West areas. The FFSW Board will continue to assist the LSWSL in ensuring strong competition and integration with the many positive opportunities for players, coaches and clubs that are being offered within the region.

ALL players aged U6's to 14's interested in participating in the FFSW Player Development Programs are invited to register their interest asap. Term Two commenced the week starting Monday 3rd May and squads are being developed to cater for age groups and ability levels. The FFSW HPC programs are designed to compliment club football activities to assist players in developing their technical skills and passion for the game. All players are invited to attend and need to Register to ensure that coach to player ratios are consistent to ensure each player has the potential to develop their playing potential.
